Rules and General Info

The Uxbridge Cricket Club Fantasy League is back. The aimof the game is to select eleven UCC players that you feel will score the mostpoints in the 2012 Saturday League season without exceeding your £45 million transfer budget. Your teamselection must consist of the following players:

5 x BATSMEN

4 x BOWLERS

1 x ALL ROUNDER

1 x WICKET KEEPER

Each team manager must also select a captain for theirteam. The captain will play a major role as he will score double points. The midseason transfer window will remain in place, allowing you to try and change thefortunes of your team.

All players have been given a valuein the game, which is based on the points scored last season. It has been discoveredover the past few seasons, that the highest valued players are not necessarilythe players who will earn you the most points. It is up to you to find the“dark horse” of the 2012 season.

There will be two transfer windowsthroughout the season. Both transfer windows will allow you to trade up to 3new players into your team, plus change your captain. However, you cannotexceed your £45 million budget, so the players you bring in must keep yourspending under this limit. If you are confident that your team is good enoughand you don’t wish to make any changes, you’re not forced to make the transfersavailable.

First Transfer Window

Opens:  Sunday 10ndJune                             Closes:  Friday 15th June

Second Transfer Window

Opens:  Sunday 29thJuly                               Closes: Friday 3rd August

Newly transferred players start on a zero value for yourteam, hence you do not get awarded the points already scored by your newplayers before the transfer window. All transfer requests must be submitted toRob Darvill within these periods. A transfer form will be distributed nearerthe time.

Each team you enter will cost £10, to help raise funds for the Cricket section. A number ofprizes will be awarded at the end of the season to the winners. The prize kittywill be based on the number of entrants but will be split 50/50. Please supportyour club by entering. You can enter as many teams as you like.

The reduced price of £5 for each additionalside will continue this season. Your selected team will be entered into theusual league plus the UCC Knockout Cup.

Please ensure that you email or hand your team entry sheet, along with your money, to Rob Darvill bynoon on Saturday 12th May. Please complete all the info requested so that youcan receive regular scoring updates and developments throughout the season bye-mail.

Good luck with your side and I hope you have a successfulseason as a player and manager.
