Uxbridge 3rd XI continued their winning start to the league season with a 3 wicket away win over Old Actonians. After losing the toss and being put in the field, Uxbridge made the perfect start when Chris Darvill took a wicket with the first ball of the game with a caught and bowled dismissal.
Uxbridge continued the pressure with some great bowling from Muj Siddiqui (3-13) and Darvill (3-47) as Old Actonians struggled to 52 for 6. Tom Ash (3-24) and Neil White (1-4) mopped up the tail as Old Actonians were bowled out for 96.
In reply Uxbridge made hard work of the chase losing regular wickets, but an impressive innings from Waheed Safi (50 not out) steered Uxbridge to victory and 10 points.
