Middx Development League 2023

12 Jun 2023

Uxbridge Cricket Club have entered the Middlesex Development League (MDL) for the 2023 season, a long running competition professionally organized the Middlesex Cricket Board.

The games are played on Sundays after the exams and university have finished with 1pm starts, on the clubs main grounds, in an 80 over format, with a pink balls, colored clothing and neutral umpires.

The MDL provides an excellent opportunity for older colts and university age players to play competitive league and knockout long format cricket against first and second team players, but in an environment where they have more of an opportunity to play a bigger lead role than they might do on a Saturday (with the number of older players in each MDL team being limited).

The first of our 6 league stage games is on Sunday 18th June Away to Hayes Cricket Club.  Involvement in the later knockout stages of the competition is dependent on success in the league format.

Please support the clubs entry into the competition.
